Solo Spring Cup 2019 Update - Guy Mayger
"Well, fourth year in a row for me to visit Holland for the Solo Spring Cup and once again we travelled over the North Sea in hope of maybe seeing some sunshine and warmer conditions, but this is Medemblik and it’s always cold and windy (you know that by now Guy!) in early May. Fortunately, I’m kitted out with my superb Lennon Racewear and with an air temperature of 7°C and 20 plus knots, the wind chill gave us a toasty(!) 2°C, it was an easy choice to don my Thermalite Long John and Thermalite 2.5mm top with assorted base layers below. With a neoprene beanie on top I was pretty toasty whilst many others complained about being cold. As luck would have it, being warm and comfortable seemed to pay dividends and helped me to finish second overall, including two race wins in the windiest conditions which also contained a number of hailstorms to add to the fun! Every time I use my Lennon kit in these tough conditions, I'm really impressed by how it performs but hopefully I can now put the 2.5mm Top away and start using my Superlite gear as we head into summer!"
