29er News
We caught up with Nick post event.
"After a very tricky first
day of racing we lay in 21st overall. The second day was much better
with us posting a 6, 1, 6. Final series was upon us and the wind blew
from the SW making some big waves. Some silly errors at leeward marks
cost us a consistent day posting 13, 21, 14, 21. The penultimate day of
racing saw light and shifty winds from the NW and with boats going from
bottom 5 to top 10 in a downwind, you were never out of the race.
Another up and down day saw us hold onto 15th place heading into the
final day of racing where we looked to move up a few places.
Unfortunately a bad start to race 1 saw us last around the windward
mark. A strong downwind saw us move into the top 15 and that's roughly
where we stayed. The final two races were also shifty and tidal, not
allowing us to improve on our overnight position. This result qualified
us for summer British Youth Sailing Team and we look forward to
improving our results at the Nationals and Euros in France."
Nicks report shows you should never give up. Nick and Sarah were wearing a range of Racewear items.
