Quantum's initial dip into the world of Scorpion sailing was with Mike Lennon, when he and Steve Walker borrowed Mike's 1985 Nationals winning 1880. (Some pics from 85 below )!

Our first set was based on Mike's experience working with Steve from a few years earlier. In 2026 Mike is planning to be back with a new boat and he will start where we left off with the sails used on 1880 in 24' and 25'. 

Mike said "I was pretty pleased with the sails performance in 24' - we tried other brands during the week and actually found a performance drop. Despite our overall result underlining our lack preparation, zero practice and a 40 year boat, plus having a pretty big all up weight, the speed was not too far off. Trying other brands only underlined that feeing" 

Our mainsail is full radial construction made in 6K Aramid Laminate.
